This 54-year-old custodian just graduated from the college he cleaned at night.
In downtown San Francisco, situated across the street from the city’s iconic Union Square Park, Apple’s newest vision for retail is close to being realized. The new store includes 42-foot sliding glass doors that double as two-story windows, a 6K video screen on the second floor and living trees lining its new customer support section. It also sports a backyard “forum” that will be open 24 hours a day, featuring a 50-foot green wall, free Wi-Fi, and 47-year-old restored fountain from San Francisco sculptor Ruth Asawa.

If you’re a fan of original HBO programming, this is a lot of fun… every one of the networks shows ranked worst to first (with arguments).
Climbing Everest can be a losing game for sure, even if you make it to the summit… and another story from a north face attempt from the Tibet side… reaching the summit without supplemental oxygen is a feat only 200 people have accomplished… Cory Richards became one of them while his partner, Adrian Ballinger, had to turn back only 400 meters shy of the top…

Microsoft and Facebook are teaming up to build an undersea cable across the Atlantic Ocean to meet growing demand for high-speed online and cloud services. The 4,100-mile cable will have an estimated initial capacity of 160 terabits of data per second, the companies said.
