“But we are living in the age of Trumpal infallibility: We are ruled by men who never admit error, never apologize and, crucially, never learn from their mistakes. Needless to say, men who think admitting error makes you look weak just keep making bigger mistakes; delusions of infallibility eventually lead to disaster, and one can only hope that the disasters ahead don’t bring catastrophe for all of us.”

Fats Domino, the New Orleans rhythm-and-blues singer whose two-fisted boogie-woogie piano and nonchalant vocals, heard on dozens of hits, made him one of the biggest stars of the early rock ’n’ roll era, died on Tuesday at his home in Harvey, La., across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. What’s funny about this piece in Ars Technica was that I just had this random thought the other day, what ever happened to Second Life… the parallel virtual world that got to be quite the rage a decade or so ago. Going back a couple days just to make sure this great moment gets documented this week… some thought the moment went on too long, others thought it was just fine… I side with the latter… Vin Scully throwing out the first pitch before Game 2 of the 2017 World Series… a true legend of the game.
