Pete Rose… for all his faults, it truly feels like the time has come to forgive and move on… his contribution to the game was so much more positive than it was negative… it’s time to officially give him his due while he’s still breathing.
A pretty cool video of Pete Rose talking hitting with Alex Rodriguez and Frank Thomas on the FS1 postgame show during the NLCS…

Every great martial arts movie features training montages where the hero blindfolds himself to learn how to avoid contact by pure instinct. At this point, I’m guessing the Cubs’ Javier Baez has put in similar work when it comes to his slides.

The “Internet of Things” is a term used to describe all the internet connected gadgets with processing power that are tethered to the internet… shifting techniques in cyber-attacks have started harnessing this processing power in their attacks… “What this all means is that the IoT will remain insecure unless government steps in and fixes the problem. Thomas Dolby is one of those artists whose work I’ve followed intently since the moment he came onto the scene… his career has been multi-faceted; musician, producer, film scorer, multi-media mad scientist and technological wunderkind… is was ahead of the curve and on the forefront of so many things art and tech related… and his knowledge of synthesizers going all the way back to the beginning… is astounding… to hear that his self-penned autobiography will be out in a couple days was welcome news indeed… even better, my local library has it ordered and I’m the first ‘hold’ on it… virgin press baby.
Editor’s Note; I’ll be taking a couple weeks off due to a heavy work load currently. Back on the 24th. Go Cubs.
