Allan Holdsworth, a self-taught guitarist whose protean, virtuosic style was a source of amazement even to his more famous peers, died on Saturday at his home in Vista, Calif. He was 70.

At the end of Chapter One, which is entirely about that campaign’s exhausting and fruitless search for a plausible explanation for why Hillary was running, writers Allen and Parnes talk about the infighting problem.

“Exhibitionism,” the first major Rolling Stones exhibit, will be up through July 30 at Navy Pier. It brings together 500 items spanning the band’s 50-year career and spreads them across an 18,000-square-foot space, including replicas of the band’s first flat in London and one of its recording studios.
